Akamaru: Man's best friend...or worst ennemy
Akamaru is the inseparable companion of Inuzuka Kiba and was given to him when he was really young and just beginning the academy. Akamaru and his master do everything together, from sleeping to training. In fact, they are more than just companions, they are a fighting team. Akamaru is loyal and trustworthy and would never abandon Kiba, even if it means taking a hit to cover Kiba. Moreover, he sometimes gives a reality check to his master when he doesn�t know what to do or is too scared to do it. Akamaru is also able to communicate with Kiba that can understand his barks and moans.
How such a small dog can make a difference in battle? First, Akamaru can sense other ninjas powers and compare it to another�s, which can be quite useful for Kiba when he has to decide to fight someone or run. Akamaru seems to bite really hard since he can even make Naruto fall when he leaps at him to bite. But this is just the beginning, when Kiba gives a soldier pill to Akamaru, his fur turns red (aka in Japanese=red in English) and he gets really stronger, strong enough to cripple one of Naruto�s Kage Bunshin with just a paw hit! But, it�s here that Akamaru can really get annoying for the opponent: with Kiba�s Gijyuu Ninpou (Beast mimicry ninja technique) Akamaru can transform into Kiba�s clone and fight with him! Now the interesting thing is that Akamaru can now do some ninja techniques as well because he is now able to perform some hand seals. So when he and Kiba attack together, they can do a lot of damage. Finally but not least the two of them can perform the Inuzuka Ryuu Chinjuu Combi Henge (Inuzuka Style Beast Combination Transformation) he and his master really get nasty. They transform into a giant two headed dog/beast. When in this form, they can perform the technique called Garouga, which literally slices people into mincemeat!
